We have a fulfilling opportunity for an experienced psychologist to join Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre. Within the role you will provide high level, specialist mental health assessment and intervention and be responsible for a providing supervision and leadership to a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Psychologist. Brisbane Women's is the primary reception centre for women in Southeast Queensland. The centre employs a gender-responsive and trauma informed approach to rehabilitation and management of women in custody.

The Senior Psychologist is responsible for the provision of high-level, specialist mental health assessment and intervention, and provides clinical supervision and leadership to a multidisciplinary team of psychologists and counsellors. The role will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team effectively integrating psychology perspectives with other operational perspectives to affect optimal outcomes for prisoners. Qualifications and Registration:

  • Bachelor's degree (4 years) in psychology or behavioural science.
