About the Role:

We are seeking a Mental Health Psychologist for a new locum role in regional north-west Queensland.

In this role, you will work across either the Continued Care Services or Acute Care Service.

Continued Care Services offers intervention and case management for consumers requiring medium to long-term support. This is a 7 day service and shifts are between the hours of 7am-11pm.

The Acute Care Service provides clinical care to consumers requiring acute mental health and or drug and alcohol services including but not limited to assessment, early intervention, crisis management, short term evidenced based treatment and or support and management through transition to continued care or external referral services within an acute care framework. This is a Monday-Friday role pm.

This is a temporary locum position with an immediate start available until end of July.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology
  • Mental health/ child safety corrections background is desired
  • Relevant registration
  • Active listener and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated high standard of oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organisation to ensure effective teamwork
  • Current drivers licence
  • Working with children check
  • Eligible to work in Australia
