About the position
Council's Arts & Culture Department is looking for a Library Systems and Innovation Officer who will be responsible for supporting the library's digital literacy services.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Team Leader Systems and Innovation with maintaining the libraries' systems to ensure the best service delivery to the library community;
- Facilitating and delivering engaging and innovative technology programs for staff and the public to enhance and encourage lifelong learning, and assist in the evaluation of the programs; and
- Investigating and recommending emerging technologies, digital inclusion and digital literacy to enhance training and program delivery.
Working days are flexible but must include:
- Friday 9.45 am to 6.00pm at Carrum Downs Library
- Every second Saturday 8.45am to 12.00pm at Seaford Library
About you
- Experience working in public libraries and delivering technology programs;
- The ability to share digital literacy knowledge with staff and customers; and
- The technical ability to maintain library systems.
