Princess Alexandra Hospital, Private Practice Billing are looking for a Billing & Audit Officer to join their team.

The primary responsibility will be to provide accurate and timely billing in accordance with current guidelines and legislation in order to ensure that revenue is maximised.

About the Role

Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.

Commit to patient safety and quality in the delivery of health care by actively participating in safety and quality practices.

Raise, send and receive billing schedules on behalf of the Provider for chargeable services identified, and follow-up debt where required.

Send all inpatient accounts to Health Funds and patients and consult with appropriate Health Funds and Medicare regarding rejections and incorrect assessments/discrepancies and action as required.
