Audit Support Officer

Eden Ritchie is seeking an Audit Support Officer who will be responsible for supporting the audit team responsible for state-wide compliance activities including on-site audits and investigations to ensure the success of the Buy Queensland approach aimed at ensuring suppliers meet their obligations when supplying to the Queensland Government.

  • 2 month contract
  • Brisbane CBD location

As the Audit Support Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high quality support to the Manager and teams including coordinating audit documents, organisation of meetings, electronic diary management (if required), setting up of Collaborative SharePoint sites and assisting with the monitoring of correspondence including the monitoring and management of the Buy Queensland Audit Unit Mailbox.
  • Support the BQAU audit teams by entering data into the customised Dynamics ARIES application by entering new and updated information for audits as well as monitoring email queues and allocating information to individual audits. Assisting the audit team with audit activities including the organisation and review of evidence submitted to verify compliance against requirements and preparation of audit communications.
  • Assist the manager and teams to manage information including assisting with document and records management in Content Manager and SharePoint.
  • Assist with reporting on supplier compliance (PQC, Supplier Vetting, etc.) as part of the operational planning and performance reporting function of the BQAU.
  • Contribute to the development of the unit and its services including arranging training and travel and other activities for the BQAU staff including researching, making bookings and assisting with any other training or travel requirements.
  • Provide high quality support to the Manager and other staff of the unit in relation to the management of assets, facilities, and human resource management and business processes to ensure compliance with department's policies, procedures and internal audit requirements, while working as member of the team, while interacting in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Assist with the management and maintain all office and administrative systems and processes relating to procurement, office equipment, associated technologies and electronic and physical records management.

To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • High level analytical skills and problem solving skill with the ability to develop and implement practical solutions to complex problems and proven ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Demonstrated competency in Microsoft suite of applications including SharePoint and Content Manager.
  • High level verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with multiple levels of stakeholders, ability to deal with ambiguity, use initiatives to resolve problems often in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven experience in maintaining high level office and administrative systems within a multidisciplinary team including the ability to prioritise and manage and multiple tasks with competing deadlines to see solutions through all stages to completion.
