The role is responsible for the processing of all payments, allocations, write offs and journals concerning debtors and running credit checks on new accounts or as required.

About the role

MSS Security is looking for an Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our invoicing team. The position is primarily responsible forbuilding strong long-lasting relationships with past, existing and future clients. You will be responsible for keeping customers within their arrears thresholds and monitoring and reducing overdue accounts and have the opportunity to learn from and work with an experienced and successful collections officer. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Managing your portfolio of arrears accounts through effective time management and customer service skills.
  • Liaising and negotiating with customers on their overdue accounts to ensure timely payment.
  • Receipting of payments
  • Allocating payments to correct invoice and account
  • Troubleshooting and investigating any discrepancies
  • Reconciliations
  • Liaising with customers and internal stakeholders

Skills & experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize in order to effectively multitask
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
