We're seeking a motivated Development Associate to join our client's team and actively support the development of project-financed opportunities from inception to financial close.

About Us: Our client is a leading player in Australia's infrastructure landscape, specialising in developing, investing in, and managing infrastructure concessions and renewable energy assets.

About the Role: As a Development Associate, you'll play a crucial role in identifying and developing project-financed opportunities, supporting business development initiatives, and managing relationships with operating companies. Based in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to efficiently develop opportunities and maximise value for the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop project-financed opportunities aligned with our investment criteria.
  • Support business development initiatives, including market research and client engagement.
  • Develop and manage relationships with operating companies to ensure coordinated alignment on project and business development.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop opportunities from early stage identification through bidding to financial close.
  • Manage bid management, strategy development, commercial and technical solutions, and effective communication with clients.
  • Coordinate due diligence activities and support the development approval process.

About You:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, commerce, finance, or related discipline.
  • Experienced in developing or bidding private financed greenfield infrastructure projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to distill complex information into strategic insights.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
  • Proven relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
