About this role:
As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will remain hands on with project delivery, attend site investigations and lead a small team in a collaborative environment. Your day will consist of:
- Undertake geotechnical investigations, assessments and report writing
- Provide Geotechnical advice to internal and external clients
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
- Liaise with clients for quote and tender documents
- Mentor and develop junior staff
- Peer reviewing the technical work of others
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Identify and pursue business opportunities to grow the geotechnical business unit
About you:
- Australian qualification in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering
- 10+ years Australian geotechnical experience
- Highly experienced in geotechnical design, analysis, and investigations
- Proficient with Circly, Plaxis and Slope W
- Familiar with Vic soils / rock conditions
- Extensive experience in soil logging and rock coring to Australian standards
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
- Experience in business development and networking with clients
- Excellent communication and client management skills
