About the job

  • Develop strategic frameworks for effective strategy delivery, ensuring community involvement and alignment with ongoing programs.
  • Lead consultations with stakeholders and partners.
  • Create integrated water management strategies for different regions in South Australia, incorporating technical expertise and community feedback.
  • Oversee strategy implementation and monitoring efforts.
  • Foster teamwork and provide guidance for the professional growth of team members.
  • Maintain administrative processes and uphold safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

Essential:

  • Hold relevant qualifications in strategy, science, engineering, or related fields, with knowledge of technical, regulatory, and policy requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong strategic and analytical capabilities to address complex issues involving various stakeholders.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills, including multitasking abilities.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills with a talent for building lasting relationships and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Ability to analyze data, conduct research, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey messages clearly to diverse audiences.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of the SA water sector, water resource management, and strategic planning processes.
  • Advanced negotiation skills to resolve challenges with multiple stakeholders.
