About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking a Claims Support Officer to join our leading Government Client for a casual position. This position is a casual 9 month contract with the possibility for extension. The role will have a Monday to Friday Roster, 40 hours per week, based in Adelaide.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Be responsible for initiating and commencing the claims process in line with applicable policy and legislation.

Assist Claims Delegates with tasks relevant to ongoing claims.

This may include; requesting medical reports and clinical notes, liaising with medical providers, maintaining contact with veterans and their representatives and analysing and advising delegates of trends and discrepancies.


Attention to detail in the management of clients' claims including appropriate archiving, accurate record-keeping and monitoring of the claim progress.

Conduct information gathering after liaising with the Claims Delegate and providing considered updates to the Claims Delegate.

Action and update tasks for information requested and provided.

Identifies issues and problems that may impact on own work objectives and propose ways forward to resolve.

Gathering statistics for Team Leader/Manager;
Undertake additional duties as directed.

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience researching and interpreting legislation, policies and procedures.

Experience in managing complex case and client relationships, including escalated queries and issues. Experience in client-facing roles, and an understanding of the needs and challenges of veterans.


Experience in meeting and exceeding both output and quality focused Key Performance Indicators in a fast paced, claim focused environment.
