About the Business:
Sporting the dual crown of Australia's oldest dairy and Australia's most innovative dairy, Brownes Dairy has a rare, exciting opportunity within our International Sales Team.
Community is at the heart of what we do as we collect over 140 million litres of milk each year from more than 50 dairy farming families located in WA's pristine Southwest region.
We are fiercely protective of our environment, pride ourselves on being a leader in sustainability and our free school tours program sees thousands of school children learn about the benefits of dairy too.
With a diverse portfolio of award-winning fresh dairy products including milk, cream, sour cream, yoghurt, flavoured milk, cold brew drinks, cheese, juice and desserts, our products are a household name in WA and are sold nationally and internationally as well.
Job responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
- Developing and tracking annual business plans with distributors to achieve pre-determined targets.
- Negotiating distribution contracts and strategic sales plans with the distributors.
- Working closely with Product Development and Marketing departments to facilitate launch of new and existing products into intended markets.
- Conducting preliminary market studies of participating products / categories in retail shops and Key Account outlets of destination countries.
- Analysis of available market intelligence reports and identifying new business opportunities to expand international sales.
- Conducting periodical business review meetings and trade visits with distributor sales forces.
- Regularly monitoring performance of distributors, providing guidance, and ensuring focus on Brownes Dairy products in destination markets.
- Identifying new markets for export.
- Connecting with the various government trade bodies such as Austrade, DPIRD, CCIWA, both locally and in destination markets, tapping into their connections with stakeholders of trade entities of intended export markets and building inroads in ranging products into markets.
- Periodical visits to destination countries to conduct business reviews, market visits, attending or participating in trade shows.
- Assisting GM with monitoring budgets, planning of trade shows, and conception of gotomarket strategies per market.
- Managing the details of cheese maturity process and bulk cheese sales to brokerage houses and food service accounts within WA and Australia.
Requirements:
- Possess strong sales experience, coming from FMCG, freight, or other related industries.
- Strong MS Office skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess strong numeracy skills.
- Exceptional organisation and time management skills.
- A track record of success
Nice to have:
- Tertiary qualification with a relevant degree in Marketing, International Business or with years of work experience pertaining to export in the relevant industry.
- Previous experience in export documentation, shipments under Letter of Credit and/or freight forwarding, and knowledge of Incoterms and jargon used in the air and sea freight shipping terms are desirable.
