About the role


The team have an opportunity for a Civil Supervisor to join the team in a full-time, permanent capacity based in Arundel.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Work with Planner to ensure appropriate schedule resources, plant and equipment, travel, and materials in allocated work areas to fully execute the Maintenance Plan for the civil scope.
  • Support the crews with oversight of the daytoday activities of work crews, as well as perform administrative tasks e

g:
timesheets, scoping documents, safety processes, completion documentation, etc.

  • Lead reporting activities relating to works planned, completed, risks and issues, with a focus on ongoing improvement of processes to support delivery.
  • Act as an escalation point for issues from crews
  • Providing coaching and support to crews
  • Act as a role model for practical, positive & empowered safety behaviours in the workplace, and advocate the GCISolutions safety philosophy which is human centred and learning focused.
  • Coach and develop new team members to in GCISolutions and client systems and processes and facilitate the development of asset & network knowledge.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation in project delivery that results in delivery of ongoing efficiencies and improvements in project work practices
  • In conjunction with appropriate administrative resources, monitor the tickets and licences, as well as other required training requirements for the relevant work crews
  • Deliver maintenance works so that they comply with and meet expectations from clients, communities, customers, environmental management requirements and other legislative requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively lead performance management of work crews with the support of Human Resources specialists
  • Perform other duties as required and as within scope of expertise, to meet business requirements.

About you

  • Supervisory experience essential.
  • Experience in the water sector desirable
  • Experience in a highvolume maintenance environment desirable.
  • Extensive experience in the planning, setup, and execution of works.
  • Demonstrated management and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Demonstrated written communication and IT skills
  • An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Current Driver's Licence
