Staff Specialist Requisition ID: REQ493795 Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a Staff Specialist to join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Psychiatry The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality clinical and consultative specialty services in Psychiatry, associated with the National Centre for Veterans' Healthcare, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the National Centre for Veterans' Healthcare, Mental Health Services and Hospital as required.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The National Centre for Veteran's Healthcare is an integrated multidisciplinary outpatient service providing comprehensive clinical assessment and management of contemporary veterans.
The service incorporates specialist medical expertise in the disciplines of Psychiatry, Drug Health, Pain Management and Rehabilitation Medicine, with an associated multidisciplinary team of experienced case managers, psychologists and allied health clinicians.
The National Centre for Veterans' Healthcare works collaboratively with associated hospital and district departments, with flexible support of affiliated services expected within this role.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
