About the Role: Clinical Nurse Educator - Cardiac Services

Monash Heart Private is currently recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Educator, to work with our private Cardiac Services team, that is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities at the Victorian Heart Hospital. This temporary part time opportunity is best suited to a nurse with with acute cardiology/cardiothoracic nursing experience, holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care/ Cardiac Care or Intensive Care, a Masters of Education (or equivalent) and previous experience in nursing education and leadership.

Our Journey

To support our Cardiac Education program, we have 1 opportunity to bring your experience and join the team as a Clinical Educator:

  • Part Time working 2 days a week (0.4) at Monash Health Private
  • This role may require you to support the education needs of other JMPH wards, working within a rotating roster, Monday to Friday.

A Day in the Life

This key role is supporting the growth and development of our nursing staff and provide education and training, to advance their clinical competency and to enhance the care they provide to cardiac patients and families. You'll be supported by our Jessie McPherson Education Team as well as network and liaise with the Nursing and Midwifery Education and Strategy (NaMES) team, working with and alongside other passionate clinical education colleagues. You understand the job satisfaction of being a successful critical care nurse, having achieved a level of clinical expertise that enables you to truly place best practice evidenced based care at the centre of your practice. Perhaps lately you have been considering where to next. You feel ready to play a part in the support and education of others and are interested in seeing where your leadership potential can take you.

As you would expect, we need your sound understanding of clinical assessment and advanced post graduate critical care practice, plus insight into different learning and teaching styles. Naturally you are a clear and positive communicator, quickly establishing rapport with the people you work with. About You

You are a highly skilled critical care nurse, with a passion for education. You have well-developed engagement, communication and collaboration skills. You have recent experience in Coronary Care, Cardiothoracic, and or cardiac Intensive Care areas of nursing and you are experienced in supporting learners in particular, you can demonstrate
