We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Southern Animal Health and Melbourne Bulldog Clinic. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including reception duties, appointment booking, and general administration tasks.
- Assist with surgical procedures, including placing IV catheters, taking bloods, and monitoring patients during and after surgery.
- Maintain the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment.
- Undertake general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology, and emergency and critical care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to allocate surgeries to theatres and provide time frames.
- Administer medications and perform hospital admission and discharge procedures.
- Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience.
- Current driver's license and vehicle.
- Flexibility to work a minimum of 38 hours per week, including one in three weekends and public holidays on rotation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with fellow team members and build rapport with clients.
- Strong communication skills and exceptional customer service.
