Role Title: Operations & Production Coordinator

Job Overview: We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Operations & Production Coordinator to work closely with the Business Manager in planning, implementing, and overseeing all activities essential for the efficient functioning of our nursery. This hands-on role involves a range of responsibilities, including reporting, production planning, team management, and ensuring a safe and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide regular updates and reports to the Business Manager on operational activities.
  2. Assist in developing and implementing the production plan for various crops.
  3. Oversee the production processes, ensuring alignment with the production plan.
  4. Provide leadership and support to the production team
  5. Ensure a safe working environment
  6. Undertake hands-on tasks, including stock movement, supervising transplant teams, and applying crop treatments.
  7. Manage plant propagation, demonstrating a solid understanding of mother plant management and vegetative propagation methods.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in Horticulture or equivalent qualification is critical for this position
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • An understanding of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) processes.
  • Possession of a NSW forklift license (class LF).
