The primary objective of this role is to lead analytics, insights and visualisation activities in order to deliver high quality outcomes which inform risk management activities.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Supporting the risk function in identifying and managing risks through robust analytics and insights
  • Deliver timely insights into the hands of decision makers
  • Understanding of industry, market, economic and competitor trends and their impacts on NAB
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to support the development of insights
  • Ensuring appropriate controls are implemented on data activities
  • Guiding the development of data structures and visualisation tools on Risk Content Zone (RCZ)
  • Continual focus on improvement to processes and insights capabilities
  • Assisting the Manager Risk Performance in the development of a strategic roadmap

What you will bring:

  • 7+ years' experience working in financial services in analytics and insights roles
  • Experience in communicating with and influencing stakeholders
  • Experience with programming languages (SQL/SAS/R/Python) and visualisation tools (Power BI/Tableau)
  • Strong analytical capability with close attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes
  • Proactive approach to problem solving linked with strong commercial acumen
  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to present at various levels to both technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Ability to lead streams of work, managing timelines to deliver high quality outputs in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously taking initiative, as well as contribute as part of a broader team.
  • Knowledge of core credit risk principles
