Located on Awabakal land in Newcastle, we are currently offering positions to join our team and assist our clients in establishing connections within the community. This role involves nurturing significant client relationships, influencing not just the destinies of others but also your own.

These are part-time ongoing positions.

Additionally, we provide outstanding training to support you:

You will receive thorough training during your orientation, coupled with continuous learning and development, including:

  • Specialist training opportunities
  • Buddy shifts working alongside CPA's experienced Disability Support Workers
  • Possibility to attain a nationally recognized qualification such as Certificate III in Individual Support and/or Certificate IV in Disability

Responsibilities:

  • Providing personalized support in a group home environment by aiding clients with mealtimes, personal care, medication administration, and manual handling
  • Encouraging and leading activities in the group home like musical therapy, art, and cooking
  • Ensuring clients have access to information to make their own decisions and develop skills for increased independence
  • Transporting clients, if necessary, using CPA minivan

Requirements:

  • A valid NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P2 level)
  • Reside in close proximity to Awabakal land

A talent pool may be established for upcoming roles and remains valid for 12 months.
