The National Capital Private Hospital is seeking enthusiastic and innovative
Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Exercise Physiologists and
Allied Health Assistants to join our team.


The successful applicants would be involved in providing services to either the inpatient rehab services and/or the acute surgical wards, CCU and ICU.


  • Casual Physiotherapists to cover regular weekday, weekend and evening shifts
  • Casual Occupational Therapists for regular weekdays work in acute surgical or rehabilitation settings
  • Casual Social workers for a range of shifts
  • Casual Exercise physiologists for a range of shifts
  • Casual Allied Health Assistant for a range of shifts

The National Capital Private Hospital is a modern, progressive acute medical, surgical and rehabilitation hospital of 148 beds located in the southern suburbs of Canberra.

The hospital has 8 operating theatres, an intensive care unit, coronary care unit, day surgery unit, medical/rehabilitation and surgical wards.

As an Allied Health Professional, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive services to inpatients (including inpatient rehab, orthopaedics, general surgery, cardiac and neurosurgery, and ICU/CCU patients).
  • Delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning and evidence based practice
  • Participating in program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department
  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people
  • Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services.
  • Clinical supervision of physiotherapy and allied health assistant students.

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor in relevant specialty area (as applicable)
  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Excellent clinical practice skills to manage a high acuity caseload
  • Previous hospital or rehab experience is preferred
  • Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
