The Opportunity
As the automotive industry evolves, Ford continues to adapt by bringing exciting new solutions and experiences to our customers.


As the IT Technical Project Lead for Strategic Solutions, you will partner with IT and business stakeholders to define and deliver software solutions to continuing engaging our customers across Ford Asia Pacific.

Leading the technical delivery of these solutions in select markets will support Ford's continued growth in key vehicle segments across the region.

Our National Sales Company (NSC) office is based in Richmond but we offer flexibility/hybrid ways of working.


This role provides an opportunity to be an integral part of building the next generation of customer experiences for Ford Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with local and global stakeholders to define product strategy for new business solutions and translate these into technical requirements.
  • Understand customer needs and collaborate with related product teams to determine how existing solutions can be adapted to provide measurable incremental value for key regional markets.
  • Lead product planning and deployment activities, including road map development, feature & user story creation/management, technical feasibility, backlog prioritization and release management. Continually make recommendations to the backlog based on product health and learnings.
  • Gather customer and internal feedback to drive improvements and inform product roadmap. Continuously assess progress, disseminate lessons learned, and understand next steps.
  • Seeks to understand industry trends and challenges status quo with innovative ideas; Challenges the notion "it can't be done."
  • Work with purchasing contacts to source complex technology products or services, including drafting RFQ documents, collecting and evaluating supplier bids and criteriabased vendor selection.
    Areas of professional exposure
  • Bachelors degree in Business
  • Information system, Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Min. 3 years of experience in IT
  • Strong communication, negotiation and related skills.
  • Effective relationship management, able to work closely with and influence cross functional stakeholders, and the capability to independently make strategic decisions.
  • Proven analysis skills to identify solutions that provide measurable business value.
  • Knowledge of design thinking to create customercentric solutions.
  • Ability to provide technology based expertise to support business strategies, including cybersecurity standards.
  • Agile project delivery experience. Experience at delivering external customer solutions with a focus on APIs and/
