The Project:


Located in the small suburb of Loxford in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, approximately three km north of the town of Kurri Kurri, and approximately 35 km west of Newcastle and 125 km north of Sydney.


The Hunter Power Station Project will generate 660 megawatts via two heavy-duty open cycle gas turbines, and is anticipated to be fully operational by the end of 2024.


About the role
The Logistics Coordinator supports the Logistics Manager the purchasing and material expediting functions across the Hunter Power Project.

This position also maintains a strong working relationship with the Procurement team to ensure clear lines of communication and engagement with various suppliers of both services and materials.


What will a day look like in this role

  • Implement appropriate purchasing and expediting systems, processes and resources to support sustainment activities;
  • Support the Logistics Manager and Stores Supervisor on ensuring all supplies are readily available for construction team
  • Participate in in Procurement Policy and related instruments;
  • Report to the Logistics Manager on key purchasing and expediting metrics and ensure material spend is aligned to budget.

What would we expect you to bring to the team

  • Experience in Supply Chain and/or Procurement roles;
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated capability in the use of SAP and other ERP systems;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills ;
