This role will require you to investigate, critically assess and facilitate implementation of traffic and road safety related strategies and improvements within the City.

You will be required to review and approve Roadworks and Events Traffic Management Plans.


You are capable of researching and providing advice on municipal design, traffic management and road safety issues, including report preparation and liaison with contractors and service authorities in relation to works within the City's road network.


You will be required to provide technical input towards road traffic safety and have a heavy involvement in providing feedback to the community in relation to road safety projects.

Therefore, you are able to demonstrate highly developed consultation, interpersonal and communication skills, together with strong team work capabilities.

Possessing a relevant traffic management qualification, you have excellent computer skills particularly in the Microsoft Office suite.

You have a detailed knowledge of road traffic regulations and Australian design standards, particularly relating to road design, traffic management schemes and issues to improve the access of cyclists, pedestrians and people living with disability.


  • Experience in the development and/ or review of Temporary Traffic Management Plans
  • Current 'C' class driver's licence

We are offering a gross salary of $88,929 per annum, and:

  • 11% superannuation plus the opportunity to co-contribute up to 5%
