ABOUT THIS ROLE
Data Architect (Multiple) - RFQ-ASD SOW - Rereleased

Mission Data Division (MD) within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), will deliver cutting edge capabilities to Defence through a variety of different programmes and projects.

To facilitate this ASD has a requirement for an experienced data science professional with demonstrable competence in Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning.

The Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning professional will directly contribute to activities that support the delivery of major programs and projects in MD.

Mission Data Division (MD) within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), will deliver cutting edge capabilities to Defence through a variety of different programmes and projects.

To facilitate this ASD has a requirement for an experienced data science professional with demonstrable competence in Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning.

The Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning professional will directly contribute to activities that support the delivery of major programs and projects in MD.

The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consult with and provide advice to stakeholders on current and merging AI/ ML uses, trends, developments and principles.
  • Contribute and assist with preparing project documentation, e.g. Business Needs and Requirements, Stakeholder needs and Requirements, System Requirements Specification, etc.
  • Engage and communicate with diverse stakeholder groups in technical and business process terms.
  • Write documentation in accordance with appropriate organisational policies, procedures and record keeping practices.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Possess sound technical and mathematical experience in machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI) and/or advanced programming skills.
  • Past experience in data science, software development and automation will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in the design and development of AI/ML infrastructure, architecture and techniques.
  • Experience working within the cyber security field or related discipline.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplined agile project team.
  • Australian Citizenship and a TSPV security clearance is essential.
