Administrative Officer - Emergency Department

Permanent full-time position - (part-time applicants up to.8 FTE will be considered)

The Role

The Administrative Officer is responsible for the provision of secretarial and administrative support to the Director of the Emergency Department at Malvern

Key responsibilities include:

  • General secretarial assistance to the Director Emergency Department, maintaining an electronic diary, drafting of reports and submissions as necessary.
  • Provides general secretary and administrative support for financial processes with the Emergency Department.
  • Collates KPI's for monthly meetings under the guidance and instructions from the ED Director.
  • Prepares and maintains Emergency Department medical and after hours rosters under the guidance and instructions from the ED Director.
  • Enters hospital VMO rosters onto a central shared electronic roster.
  • Prepares and maintains quarterly quality and business plan reports.
  • Assists the Director in administrative aspects of recruitment processes of Emergency Department Medical Staff.
About you

You will have:

  • Relevant experience as an Administrative Officer in a health care. and/or other relevant organisation for at least 5 years.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and excellent prioritisation skills evidenced by ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective and collaborative working relationships with a diverse team, focused on providing excellent customer service.
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including in Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organised and motivated professional with excellent ability to prioritise and work to deadlines, whilst maintaining attention to detail.
