The Opportunity

  • In this newly created role as the HSEQ Advisor, you have the opportunity to shape, develop, and cultivate a new era in safety culture, guided by our unique One HSE Culture Framework. Whilst being mentored by our highly experienced HSE Operations Manager.
  • Drawing on your electrical experience you'll play a key role in providing advice and support to the Operational Leaders with a focus on HV & LV electrical risk management. This handson, onsite role enables you to engage with direct staff and subcontractors offering HSEQ leadership with a continuous improvement approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and cultivate a safety culture in alignment with UGL's One HSE Culture Framework
  • Lead and mentor Operational Teams, focusing on best practices for risk mitigation
  • Develop and monitor HSE KPIs, in consultation with Operational Leaders
  • Implement tailored safety programmes and initiatives
  • Investigate and report on worksite incidents according to UGL and client procedures

Requirements to be successful

  • Diploma in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent
  • Trade Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer with experience in risk management on HV & LV Electrical Networks
  • Thorough knowledge of Electrical Legislation, Code of Practice, AS3000, Arc Flash & Electrical Safety Audits
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment is a plus
  • Please note, you will undergo preemployment screening, which includes a medical assessment._
