About the Position:


The Cultural Diversity Community Development Officer will build and strengthen the capacity of our diverse multicultural communities within the City of Monash.

This position has a key focus on fostering and developing key partnerships and networks both internally and externally and will target emerging communities in Monash, CALD seniors groups and international students.


About you:

Proactive and passionate about working with our diverse community

High level project management and report writing skills

Can communicate effectively both internally and externally

Key strengths in partnership facilitation

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Requirement of the position:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in social sciences, health or related areas such as community development, social sciences and experience in a similar role;
A strong understanding and experience in working with people from a multicultural background;
Ability to think conceptually and innovatively to develop and deliver programs that benefit our CALD community;
Satisfactory National Police Check; and

Current driver's licence.
