Role Description/Criteria


Oscar Romero Catholic Primary School is seeking an experienced or graduate Physical Education teacher who is passionate about working with children and helping them to achieve their greatest potential.

The school culture is focused on 'Aspiring not to have more but to be more', promoting high expectations, in a collaborative and collegial environment, working together to develop conditions that optimise the learning for all student.

Physical Education at Oscar Romero is one of five specialist areas offered to our students. Our Physical Education program focuses on the student's own and others' health, safety, wellbeing and physical activity participation.

We offer the children the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that are contemporary, relevant, challenging, enjoyable and promote confidence, co-operation and sportsmanship.

In addition to weekly lessons, students are provided will opportunities to participate in various events including Cross Country Carnivals and Athletics Day.

The successful applicant will be working alongside another PE teacher.

Oscar Romero Catholic Primary School is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.

Special Requirements

The successful applicant will:
have full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching

have a qualification and/or experience of teaching PE

demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of a Catholic school

possess a current 'Working With Children Check'.
