Role: Permit To Work Officer / Work Request Authority (WRA) Manager

Location: Brisbane, Queensland

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team in Brisbane as a dedicated Permit To Work Officer / Work Request Authority (WRA) Manager on a fixed term full time contract. You will play a crucial role in the Rail Operations team, ensuring smooth coordination during testing and commissioning activities without disrupting train operations or system integrity.

  • Overall management of the assets within the T&C zone:
    • Responsible for the work request authority process, permit to work, and associated procedures
    • Leading WRA Panel meetings to coordinate input from stakeholders
    • Collaborating with subject matter experts to assess WRA impacts
    • Establishing a 4-week outlook for authorized works
    • Reviewing risk mitigation measures for workers
    • Organizing knowledge sharing sessions
    • Coordinating resources with the Rail Operations Planner
    • Prioritizing system access based on project priorities
    • Consulting with programmers/planners

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in managing technical teams within a rail environment
  • Completion of Issue work permits certification, preferred
  • Background in asset maintenance, planning, or logistics
  • Proficiency in rail systems and infrastructure components
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in rail
  • Skill in relevant software tools for testing and project management
