The Role


To be a support resource, enabling the timely delivery of network and desktop services support encompassing hardware, desktop software and email support to facilitate optimal use of computers by all internal and external Customers.

To also provide administration of our client's telecommunications system, including
patching, handset maintenance and new services.

What you will do- Provide professional, efficient and responsive customer focused service to all internal and external customers.

  • Implement Council's desktop computer environment by performing installations, upgrades and maintenance of the Council's PC hardware and software across Council including remote sites.
  • Prepare and provide documentation and training on the use of telephones and voicemail to all new/existing employees when required.
What you will bring- Demonstrated comprehension of principles and procedures relevant to desktop operating environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in hardware connectivity and telecommunications, including remote access technologies (VPN, 3G, WAN).
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting software and hardware faults.
  • Good understanding of computer technology principles and applications.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP/Windows 7 operating systems and Microsoft.
  • Office Products (2003/2007), Microsoft Exchange (2003/2010).
  • Working Knowledge of Citrix Winframe/Metaframe or Terminal server application.
