  • Sedgman is seeking a suitably experienced an Electrical or Mechanical Trade qualified Operator Maintainer join us at our Mt Pleasant, NSW CHPP operations site to effectively operate the CHPP facility and associated equipment to achieve safe production targets

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Operate the CHPP plant in accordance with Sedgman operational procedures and Line Manager instructions to achieve daily CHPP performance targets
  • Carry out breakdown maintenance as required
  • Inspect operational equipment to ensure early defect detection and rectification
  • Perform regular plant inspections to monitor condition and plan remedial work
  • Clear blocked pipe work, pumps, chutes, screens, boxes, distributors, crushers, breakers, overloaded conveyors, sumps and tanks
  • Clean spillages and wash down areas to ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained
  • Safely operate mobile equipment in and around fixed and mobile plant, runofmine and product stockpiles

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in CHPP Operator/Maintainer roles
  • Proven knowledge and experience on a mining and/or heavy industrial site
  • Trade qualification in Electrical or Mechanical
  • Team player
