With two main acute facilities based at Leongatha and Korumburra, GSHS offers a broad range of specialist, general, acute, subacute, ambulatory, residential aged care and community services.


About the Role
GSHS is currently seeking an experienced Ward Clerk for our General Ward. Shifts will be evenings and alternating weekends.

The successful applicants will provide administrative, clerical and reception services to the clinical staff within the inpatient ward and urgent care centre located at the Leongatha Hospital.


About You

Applicants should possess the following experience/qualifications:

  • A minimum 12 months experience in a similar role.
  • Be able to communicate in an efficient, friendly and courteous manner.
  • Competent computer skills.
  • Exercise discretion and confidentiality.
  • Well presented with a positive "cando" attitude, the successful applicants will provide a friendly, courteous and professional point of contact for clinical staff, patients and visitors as well as act as a resource and provide general assistance. You will be required to work independently with mínimal supervision and will have proven competence in organising, coordinating and prioritising various administrative activities to ensure efficient operational functioning of the position.
  • Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. The successful applicant will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check.
