Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick is currently seeking a qualified patent attorney to join our Engineering team in Sydney or Melbourne.

You will join a dynamic team in an environment that fosters support and collaboration, where you'll take on challenging and complex projects for leading companies.

You will have:

  • A degree in mechanical engineering or related fields (aerospace engineering, etc.)
  • Exceptional patent drafting abilities.
  • Willingness to engage with existing clients and prospective clients.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Australia and globally.
  • Offer commercial IP advice to clients.
  • Patent portfolio management for local and international clients.
  • Deliver presentations on IP topics internally and externally.
  • Engage in networking events, seminars, and business development activities.
