We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Manager to join our installation and technical support team, responsible for ensuring excellent technical support and customer service to our clients.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with a reasonable level of technical expertise in multiple fields including mechanical, software, and electronics.
As a Technical Support Manager, you will play a vital role in representing our company as the public face of Aeronaut, and will be responsible for overseeing a team of technical support specialists.
You may be expected to travel domestically and interstate to provide technical support and training to customers, as well as to test and commission new machines and systems prior to dispatch.
Occasional international travel may come up as well.In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting to customers via phone and email, and may conduct on-site machine installations and customer training for the operation and maintenance of the machines.
To qualify for this position, you must possess mechanical aptitude and experience or qualifications in a related technical field (mechanical, software, and electronics).
You must have good problem-solving skills with attention to detail, and excellent spoken and written English skills.You must also possess Australian residency or a valid Australian work permit, as well as an Australian driver's license and passport valid for international travel.
Additional skills and experience that will be highly regarded include experience with CAD, Mac OS, and Atlassian content and issue-tracking software (Jira, Confluence).
Knowledge of basic electronics, mechanical aptitude, and experience with hand and power tools will also be beneficial.Any relevant hobbies, such as 3 D printing or CNC systems, will also be considered favorably.
