We currently have a permanent, full time Finance Reconciliation Supervisor position in Finance.

The Finance Reconciliation Supervisor will lead the Finance Reconciliation Team to deliver daily and monthly reconciliations, whilst driving a culture of continuous improvement through identifying and implementing opportunities to improve the control environment for reconciliations including reporting, communication, escalation and inputs for reconciliation.

What you will be doing

  • Supervise reconciliation staff to ensure meeting requirements of their roles
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and standards of operation to ensure compliant, effective, efficient and documented processes
  • Set team performance objectives and monitor and support progress and achievements
  • Ensure appropriate training plans are implemented and training is delivered to staff
  • Be a point of reference by providing guidance and support to staff across the bank involved in reconciliation processes
  • Ensure a strong control environment for reconciliation activities
  • Lead Reconciliation initiatives as required and drive a culture of continuous improvement
  • Liaise with key stakeholders in regard to compliance and risk obligations, including auditors and committees
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and implement as applicable.

What you will bring

  • Knowledge of Bank Australia core banking and operating systems
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation relevant to the bank's products and services, particularly payments
  • Excellent communication skills in liaising both internally within the organisation and externally with customers including written, verbal and interpersonal
  • Experience managing a small team and ability to prioritise workloads and delegate responsibility
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment both leading and participating
  • Proven ability to develop and implement policies, procedures and standards of operation
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain continuous process improvements
  • Ability to adapt and respond to change in a changing work environment
  • Relevant bachelor degree and CPA or CA qualification
