The Treasury Operations Officer is a newly created permanent, full time position within the Treasury Finance Team.

This position is perfect for an individual seeking to build knowledge of treasury and financial services, working closely with a number of experienced finance and treasury professionals.

What you will be doing

  • Transition operational processes from the current owners, before looking to improve controls, documentation and operational efficiency
  • Review deals and renegotiations submitted by the Treasury Team
  • Challenge deal bookings with Treasury Managers as required
  • Approve Austraclear settlements and series as required for the growing investment, borrowings and swap portfolios
  • Reconcile and post daily journals and work to resolve breaks in the reconciliation
  • Reconcile the securitisation cash flows, arrange payment to the trust and post related journals
  • Maintain and update the daily cash flow forecast
  • Produce and distribute daily cash movement and daily statistics reporting
  • Assist with credit assessments of Treasury counterparties and help maintain system and data inputs
  • Establish and maintain a database of peer bank performance and risk metrics for benchmarking purposes
  • Reconciliation and maintenance of credit ratings in the treasury management systems
  • Compile process documentation and workflows relating to Treasury operations.

  • Microsoft office skills and technological capability
  • Previous experience of using GTreasury or equivalent preferred
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and completed or working towards accounting or treasury qualification
