An emerging opencut copper operation close to Cloncurry seeks to appoint an experienced Mine Geologist . This newly created permanent opportunity offers the opportunity to assist establishing the mine geology function for an emerging producer.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

Management of grade control systems Providing geological input to production Pit Mapping and continued improvement of ore body knowledge Assist with development & material mark-up Monthly mine reconciliations Management of ROM and stockpile systems Mentoring geo-technicians

This role is offered on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Townsville or Cairns, or on a residential basis in Cloncurry (relocation & location allowances provided). You'll enjoy extensive empowerment, an attractive remuneration package including bonuses following commercial production, and you'll be working alongside a team of highly regarded professionals in a fun, collegial environment.

As an ideal candidate, you will be a tertiary qualified geologist with a solid background in opencut production within hardrock operations (e.g. 2-3+ years post-grad experience). Proficiency in Deswik will be advantageous.
