About this part of our organisation:

Our Zinc Assets in Australia include multiple & geographically dispersed operations, including underground and open pit mines, processing plants and port facilities. Lady Loretta Mine (LLM) is situated approximately 140kms northwest of Mount Isa. We have a compact owner's team of employees who oversee and work closely with our contract mining partner to extract high grade zinc, silver and lead which is transported to Mount Isa for further processing. Typically, our team work on a FIFO roster from either Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns, other options may be considered such as DIDO from Mount Isa if required.

About your potential new position:

Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent at Lady Loretta Mine, you will be our leader in geoscience.

Your demonstrable technical competency in geology is essential and will include:

• Mine geology in an underground metalliferous environment including production geology, mapping, sampling, fault, and grade control modelling.
• Resource modelling and estimation.
• Diamond drill program design, costing, scheduling, execution, and contractor management.
• Geological and geotechnical core logging, processing, sampling and QAQC.
• Structured database management.
• Block model and mine to mill reconciliation.
• Project experience and the ability to diagnose, investigate and solve problems.
• Leapfrog, Deswik and Python scripting capabilities will be viewed favourably.
• Significant mining industry experience (>5yrs), excellent leadership capabilities, ability to work autonomously and in a diverse team,
• Relevant tertiary geoscience degree.
