Achieve are recruiting for a Facility Support Officer OO2 - Rockhampton

Role requirements and expectations are:

Monday to Friday (business days) to a maximum of 30 hrs per week.
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following to support the daily operation of the facility - Undertaking grounds maintenance (28 hours/week):

  • Mowing lawns, whipper snipping, and mulching gardens as required.
  • Monitor irrigation and watering systems. Undertake minor system repairs as required or escalate to Facility Coordinator if significant repairs are required.
  • Sweep / blow down internal roads as required.
  • Marshalling waste bins (15 x 240ltr wheelie bins) to Council rubbish collection point (on site).
  • Ensure grounds are maintained and tidy. Request for Quote– Under a Supply Arrangement GGS0060 Procurement Reference Number: CBS24-011
  • Maintain indoor plants including watering and replacing as needed. Liaise with Facility Coordinator for any issues.
  • Advise Facility Coordinator of any tree or other noted maintenance concerns on site that may require professional advice. Other services (2 hours/week): May be required to assist with preparing the site for business opening:
  • Including unlocking of some amenity's buildings. Maintenance and delivery of janitorial supplies as required. Undertaking some minor repair/maintenance to support the Facility Coordinator:
  • Assist with minor repairs and maintenance that does not require a trade contractor or service provider.
  • Liaise with the Facility Coordinator where the engagement of a trade contractor is required. WHS requirements:
  • The successful Candidate will need to follow Safe Operating Procedures (SOP's) and any other equipment training relevant to the role/duties.
  • The successful candidate must follow DAF WH&S requirements including mandatory training and WH&S incident reporting.

The successful candidate will be required to be aware of the presence of asbestos within buildings and on site utilising the asbestos register located at site.
