Your key responsibilities include:

  • Support quarterly/ monthly planning/ forecasting of targets and deadlines and efficient and effective allocation of resources to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Compliance and understanding of the relevant legislation, regulations and guidelines.
  • Foster and encourage a workplace environment that is outcomes focused and instil a culture of continuous improvement through effective communication, training and flexible workforce management practices.
  • Produce monthly performance reports that includes financial and activity reports, to monitor and measure unit productivity, target achievement, and overall effectiveness.
  • Produce succinct, meaningful and accurate commentary of variance to targets.
  • Oversees and monitors workflow of Billing and Accounts Receivable team.
  • Resolution of problems escalated by supervisor.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly control account balances and appropriate reconciliations, where necessary (including: invoicing, receipting, debtors ageing, bank reconciliation and writeoffs).
To be successful you will need the following key competencies including:

  • Demonstrated in-depth Accounts Receivable and Billing knowledge and experience with the public and private health sector
  • Ability to lead teams, including effective people management skills.
  • Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders and team members and ability to effectively communicate and influence staff.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including conflict resolution, negotiation and influencing competencies.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise to effectively manage customer service functions and develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
