Reporting into the Head of Personal Injury Programs and Innovation, Allianz Australia is looking for a Mental Health Program and Initiative Specialist to join the Personal Injury division. The primary purpose of this role is to support the delivery of national mental health/injury claims and customer programs across the divisions and all products within Personal Injury division, contributing to the direction and implementation of the national mental health strategy and partnering with key clients and broker partners to support innovation programs, training and risk management.

You'll be responsible for

• Support the development, leadership and execution of the national mental health strategy programs and initiatives across the personal injury business, collaborating with all the business units to deliver programs and initiatives, contributing to the best in industry management and prevention of mental injuries at a claims and customer level.

• Lead the development, project management, execution and evaluation of strategic programs and services that reduce the impact of workplace injuries, address industry and customer needs and deliver thought leadership and practical resources.

• Drive national project success through collaborative leadership of internal and external stakeholders and commitment to deliverables within program scope and timeframes.

• Drive the internal uptake and strategic utilisation of programs across the Personal Injury business, including the establishment of a robust delivery framework and supporting resources and training on a program/service basis.

• Monitor and track outcomes of mental health initiatives across claims, customer and employee outcomes, reporting on outcomes on P&L, contract measures and support the preparation and delivery of updates to Regulators.

• Develop and facilitate training on best practice mental health topics for both internal and external stakeholders, contribute as a facilitator to the Personal Injury client training calendar and represent Personal Injury at conferences, forums and events.

• Collaborate with client and market facing teams, ensuring strategic and best in class use of mental health related risk prevention initiatives with customers and partners that are delivering benefit on investment and engage with providers, customers and brokers to ensure Allianz has a suite of best practice initiatives and interventions.

• Translate Allianz mental health initiatives to demonstrate value for customers and partners and advance marketing and tender collateral to best articulate the messaging. Participate in tenders, retention and new business activity as required.

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline; psychology or mental health related fields highly valued.

• Experience in a consultancy, provider management, project management or specialist role in the personal injury and/or work health safety environment.

• Demonstrated ability in the end-to-end management of projects/programs and experience utilising strategic direction and objectives to inform and guide specific works and initiatives.

• Expertise in developing and facilitating internal and external training and presenting at an industry level.

• Adept at proactively building and maintaining professional relationships and networks to enhance industry positioning, exchange knowledge and manage a variety of stakeholders across projects and programs.

• Demonstrated ability to coach and engage people.
