Swinburne University of Technology is looking for an exceptional candidate to take on the role of Director, Integrity and Compliance. This key position requires someone who can provide expert guidance, leadership, and oversight to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Collaborating across functions, the individual will develop and maintain effective frameworks, policies, and procedures with a focus on risk management.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Counsel, the Director of Integrity & Compliance will be in charge of overseeing Swinburne's integrity frameworks, compliance systems, and processes related to improper conduct. Additionally, they will handle matters concerning Freedom of Information and Privacy.

About You

To excel in this role, you must have experience in the following key areas:

  • Implementing the university's governance framework cohesively and consistently
  • Ensuring the proper implementation of the complaints, reviews, appeals, and misconduct framework
  • Developing compliance frameworks and related policies on Freedom of Information, Foreign Interference, and Privacy
  • Overseeing the regulatory and policy framework together with academic policies and processes
  • Leading the university's compliance framework with a risk-based approach
  • Creating and supervising the university-wide strategy for integrity and compliance functions
Qualifications
  • Degree and/or Postgraduate qualification in business administration, governance, law, or related fields
  • Legal practicing certificate in the relevant jurisdiction
