About the RoleReporting to General Counsel, The Director, Integrity & Compliance is responsible for overseeing and providing advice on Swinburne's integrity frameworks, delegations, compliance system and improper conduct as well as overseeing Swinburne's complaints, reviews, appeals and misconduct processes.

The role also oversees administration of Freedom of Information and Privacy matters.

About YouTo be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Ensure that the University's governance framework is implemented in a cohesive and consistent manner across the University, adopting a risk-based approach to implementation
  • Ensure that the University's complaints, reviews, appeals and misconduct (CRAM) framework is implemented in a cohesive and consistent manner across the University
  • Ensure frameworks for compliance and associated policies / procedures in relation to Freedom of Information, Foreign Interference and Privacy.
  • Oversee the University's regulatory and policy framework and implementation – with responsibility for the integrity of the administration policies and processes including their intersection with academic policies and processes
  • Be responsible for the University's compliance framework, adopting a risk-based approach to implementation
  • Develop and oversee the university-wide strategy for the implementation, ongoing review and improvement of integrity and compliance functions
Qualifications

  • Degree and/or Post Graduate qualification in business administration, governance, law or another related discipline.
  • Legal practicing certificate in relevant jurisdiction
