About the project
The Devonport East Berth E3 Redevelopment is an exciting new major construction project in Tasmania. The project aims to accommodate two new vessels from Finland, which will replace the iconic red and white ships known as the Spirit of Tasmania I&II. As part of this initiative, TT Line, a Tasmanian state-owned corporation, has appointed BMD Constructions as the Principal Contractor responsible for overseeing and executing civil, marine, and building works. The upgraded site and facilities will house a new state-of-the-art terminal, resulting in enhanced vessel operation efficiency and an unparalleled customer experience.

About the role
We are looking for Site Engineers to join our high calibre team based in Devonport. As Site Engineer, you will draw on your demonstrated site and engineering experience, to:
- Work closely with site supervisors to provide engineering and technical support
- Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of activities
- Provide innovative solutions to complex challenges and strive towards safety, environmental, specification, design and contractual requirements
- Manage the quality assurance of works and oversee procurement requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes, embedding this commitment in everything you do
- Motivation to achieve value-for-money results
- Experience with reputable local contractors working on civil construction projects ranging in value -previous experience with major tier one or two contractors undertaking similar work.
