Your Role:


To deliver on our strategic priorities, we require a Strategy Manager to join our team of high performing strategy generalists.

This is a high-profile role in the Flybuys business, where you will be responsible for working with the Executive Leadership Team in setting the strategic direction of the Flybuys business at an enterprise level, including the core loyalty program, adjacent growth opportunities, broadening the loyalty coalition program and developing strategic frameworks and initiatives that are required by Flybuys to support its strategic agenda.

There is no typical working week at Flybuys. But here are some of the things you will be working on, day-to-day;

  • Supporting Flybuys corporate planning activity at the enterprise level to identify opportunities across a variety of dimensions to grow the Flybuys business and program aligned with our ambition.
  • Leading Flybuys strategic initiatives, including research and opportunity assessment, development of business cases, strategic plans, board papers and consultation / executive briefings.
  • Partnering with finance, customer, product, data and technology teams to ensure initiatives, enterprise roadmap frameworks, and multiyear corporate plans are aligned with Flybuys' strategy.
  • Partnering with the commercial teams to support ongoing strategic review of loyalty coalition partners and other third parties to drive world class propositions, recognised insights leadership and sustained profitable growth.
  • Consult with key strategic partners, shareholder brands and other players in the ecosystem to inform their loyalty strategy as it relates to Flybuys.
  • Proactively ideating, defining, and recommending propositions and solutions that deliver sustainable impact for Flybuys members, coalition partners and shareholders
  • Understand consumers, retail, and loyalty across local and global theatres, including consumer trends, and how they impact the evolution of retail and loyalty in a digital first world.
  • Structuring business problems and opportunities and defining solution action plans

Your Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in strategy in a management consulting firm, or inhouse strategy team. Retail/ Consumer/ Technology experience desired, but not essential.
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Engineering (or similar). Management qualifications, e.g., MBA desired, but not essential.
  • Experience in successfully leading and delivering complex crossfunctional strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional problemsolving skills and an ability to structure complex problems for stakeholders.
  • The ability to communicate complex problems clearly for a variety of audiences, and to develop clear actions and recommendations for leaders.
  • The ability to develop clear, concise, and structured written communications for a variety of audiences.
  • Experience in financial analysis, including the development of business cases.
  • A growth mindset, with willingness to continuously learn and adapt in an evolving environment.
  • The ability to work well in a team, including understand broader team objectives and acting as a coach for junior team members.
  • Takes ownership and is motivated by delivering great outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership, people, and project management skills.
