Project & Portfolio Development Manager - Renewable Assets

Seeking a highly motivated Project & Portfolio Development Manager to join their team and help drive their growth in this dynamic industry.
Our client is a prominent player in developing sustainable energy solutions, focusing on wind, solar, and BESS projects.
With a firm commitment to sustainability, they have successfully developed and operated renewable energy assets globally. They are looking for a professional with a solid background in project development, portfolio management, renewable assets, and energy market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for the acquisition, development, and operation of renewable assets portfolio. This involves identifying investment opportunities in renewable energy projects, assessing feasibility, and creating detailed project plans to align with the company's renewable assets portfolio goals.
- Lead a team of project developers, engineers, and professionals to ensure successful delivery of renewable energy projects. Manage team members, offer guidance, and oversee the project development process.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and risks for successful project delivery. Develop budgets and project plans, monitor progress, and mitigate any arising risks.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including investors, utilities, and regulatory bodies. Collaborate with key stakeholders in the renewable energy sector to build relationships and stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics.
- Develop and implement project portfolio management processes and procedures for effective portfolio management. Establish project selection criteria, evaluate projects, and manage the portfolio of renewable assets projects.
- Keep updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics for informed business decisions. Conduct research, attend industry events, and stay informed about developments in the renewable energy sector.
- Work closely with other departments to integrate renewable energy projects into the company's strategy. Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations to align renewable energy projects with the company's goals.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project development and management, focusing on renewable assets and portfolio management.
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, energy markets, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent financial analysis skills, including business case development, financial analysis, and budget management.
- Proven track record of successful project development and execution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
