About the position

It's an exciting time to join Senex with the recent announcement of investing over A$1 billion in expanding our Atlas and Roma North natural gas assets.

We have two new exciting opportunities for Control Room Operators to join us in a permanent, full-time back-to-back position at our new Control Room in our Brisbane CBD office.

Working a 15/13 roster, the Control Room Operator (CRO) plays a crucial role in the Operations team, responsible for monitoring and optimizing production wells in the Surat Basin.

Some of your daily tasks will include:

  • Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety standards.
  • Comply with all Senex Energy policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Remotely monitor and optimize production wells.
  • Identify issues or opportunities by reviewing trends.
  • Communicate issues/opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Provide support with troubleshooting and rectifications.
  • Assist in restarting wells after maintenance activities.
  • Support the commissioning of new wells by conducting checks and troubleshooting.
  • Find opportunities to reduce waste and increase value through innovation.

Applicants must hold a full driver's license and four-wheel drive training certification due to travel requirements to the Surat Basin.

About You

We are looking for an outstanding individual who aligns with our culture valuing individuality and brings a proven track record in handling demanding environments.

Your ability to prioritize, multitask effectively, consistently meet goals, and maintain a customer-focused approach makes you the ideal candidate.

Holding a Certificate III in Process Plant Operations is essential, along with understanding the Petroleum and Gas Act and relevant standards and codes.

Experience in Coal Seam Gas operations, maintenance, and SCADA systems is highly valuable.

Your reputation will be established on your technical expertise, sense of responsibility, and ability to provide technical support and collaborate with teams.
