The role


The National Lead - Creative and Visualisation is a key role within the Executive team of our Insights, Communications and Creative business unit.

Reporting to our Executive General Manager, this permanent full-time roles' focus will be on growing and marketing our creative and visualisation offering nationally and evolving our practice.


RPS' award-winning creative and visualisation team plays an integral role in enabling our clients to effectively communicate and engage with their stakeholders and the community through the development of outstanding visual communications.


Our expertise ranges from print and online collateral and brand development, bid and tender documentation, to interactive digital design, mapping, infographics and our award-winning digital engagement space.

Working collaboratively and closely with each other is key to our success. This includes within our creative team and with the broader Advisory and RPS teams.


We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced individual based in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne who, in addition to winning and delivering major creative projects, will provide technical and thought leadership across our national team and play a key role in contributing to the annual business plans for RPS' Advisory Division and the Insights, Communications and Creative business unit.


Key responsibilities
Some key areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Defining, planning and delivering growth of the service line, including the strategic workforce capability and recruitment plans.
  • Accountable for thought leadership, client engagement and business development activities with potential clients for the service offering, working in collaboration with our other national service leads in the Advisory Division.
  • Accountable for ensuring that services are maintained at industry best practice. This includes leading the team in monitoring industry standards, competitors' performance and services, internal skills and understanding the services and learning lessons from current and past projects.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in graphic or digital design, advertising, communications, journalism, media or public relations backed by at least fifteen to twenty years' experience in the Australian east coast infrastructure or consulting markets.
  • Demonstrable experience and deep understanding of the Australian infrastructure sector.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels to achieve outcomes.
  • Strong and deep relationships with clients and an ability to leverage those relationships to win work for the team.
  • Ability to manage a national client base and achieve success in introducing new services/products to existing clients.
  • Demonstrated capability in commercial performance, client engagement, business development and team growth.
  • Strong knowledge of working with Government clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and accurately.
  • High levels of flexibility, organisation and the ability to work well under pressure.
