About Dental Health Services Victoria

Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV) is the leading public oral health agency in Victoria, established in 1996. The goal is to enhance oral health for all Victorians, especially vulnerable groups. Funded by the State Government, DHSV provides clinical dental services to eligible Victorians.

We contribute to improving Victorians' oral health through The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM) and by sourcing dental services for public patients from over 50 community health agencies in Victoria.

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM). You will report to the Head of Unit, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) and provide specialist OMS services within a publicly funded dental service. This includes patients with disabilities and complex medical histories. Your role also involves acting as a consultant in the specialty and collaborating closely with other clinical services and providers.

Your responsibilities will include:Providing direct, quality patient care following DHSV clinical standards and policies.Managing patients within your competency and experience levels.Supervising surgical registrars and house dentists.For a full list of duties and more information on the role, access the position description.
