A construction Engineering Consultancy firm is looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to join their team in Brisbane. As the successful candidate, you will lead complex water projects, bringing technical expertise in mechanical and process engineering. This role involves a deep understanding of water treatment, distribution, and wastewater management systems.

We are in search of a skilled Commissioning Manager to oversee water treatment facilities' commissioning, ensuring proper installation, testing, and operational functions. This position requires extensive knowledge of water treatment processes and strong project management skills for timely and budget-friendly project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning phase of water treatment projects from planning to final handover.
  • Develop detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Supervise commissioning teams and coordinate work with subcontractors.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and tests of water treatment systems.
  • Identify and resolve issues during commissioning for successful project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Prepare comprehensive commissioning reports.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide training and support to operations staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commissioning water treatment facilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of water treatment processes.
  • Proven track record of managing complex commissioning projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in commissioning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.
