Role Overview

We are in search of an experienced and dynamic National Operations Manager to lead the commercial performance and profitability of the 8 sites within the Heavy Motor network. Your responsibilities will include shaping our strategy, monitoring site performance, and fostering a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate must have a track record of driving profitable sales growth, strategic prowess, a strong emphasis on safety, and a history of delivering top-notch customer service. This role calls for someone with commercial and financial expertise to offer contemporary leadership and guidance across all sites in Wales – Heavy Vehicle Repair locations, nurturing a 'can-do' attitude and a high-performance team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Culture: Implement and reinforce safety protocols consistently across all Wales sites.
  • Business Strategy: Play a pivotal role in shaping and executing long-term business strategies, promoting growth and innovation on a national scale.
  • Service Strategy: Create and execute a service strategy that sets AMA Group apart in the market.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Establish strong connections with insurers, suppliers, and internal team members.
  • Team Development: Foster the growth of team members through structured and informal training, and handle people-related issues following AMA standards.
  • Financial Management: Collaborate with the Finance Manager to formulate budgets, provide monthly reports, and contribute to business performance assessments.
  • Operational Efficiency: Assess and enhance operational procedures to boost efficiencies and pinpoint areas for cost control enhancements.
